Kershaw/ZT Picture Thread!!! Let's See Em'!

ZT pulled out all of the stops in the vid but it's a hard pass for me at $700 MSRP, even if it sells for less at MAP, because, in general, I'm not a "fan" of "anniversary" knives and there are things about the knife that I simply don't like. The upcoming Spyderco 50th anniversary Native V is another one that I'm going to pass on for similar reasons. 🤷‍♂️

that said, it would be nice to know exactly how many are to be made to justify the price... less the better for any collection, once they're gone they're gone... and will increase in value, thus selling out before production if that's the case...

This is a Rick Hinderer designed ZT0180 that came out in 2014 for a street price of $220 or so.
Incredible knife. A 4.2 inch, tungsten DLC blade of junk-yard-dog tough Vanadis 4 Extra steel that was 0.2 inches at the tang and about 0.027 inches BTE. Thick (0.75 inch) G10 handle with scales held on by 4mm allen screws. It came with a crappy Spec-Ops off-the-shelf sheath that was not even designed for the knife, so I added an aftermarket Kydex locking sheath that is way better. This is an unbelieveably tough knife. Check out Bodog's famous destruction test of the knife (destruction of everything else).

Love this knife.

FWIW, compared to the offering price of $500 for the 50th Anniversary Kershaw Tilt, I think that $700 for the 25th Anniversary 0020 is comparatively overpriced.

There were reportedly less than 500 of the 50th Anniversary Tilt made.

I assume that the "cost" of production/marketing for the 0020 was the primary factor in setting the its price and that "demand" for it will be the primary factor in its value in the future.

If there is not sufficient demand for it later, the value of it might well go down, not up, even if only a small number were made.

And FWIW, unlike the 50th Anniversary Tilt & Native V, the 0020 was a "new" knife model made to commemorate 20 years of ZT but it is not connected with any prior knife model that people have collected previously.

So, despite being named Blade Show's 2026 "Knife of the Year," I do not expect the demand for this knife to be particularly high among ZT collectors.

At least not collectors like me who didn't like some of the other previous Blade Show "Knife of the Year winners, like the 0888 & 0999, that i never wanted to buy despite their rarity.

Time will tell. 🤷‍♂️

700 is insane for me thats for sure, even to spring for 500 unless again there was 1/500 made and verified, not just some random we'll keep making this "limited" until it doesn't sell anymore... no ty

I handled a 0020 at Blade. It is a very nice knife, rhe damascus is Vegas Forge which is more expensive.

One of my friends pointed out that the design looks like a slimmed down 0888.

This sign was in front of the ZT booth.

I will buy one if I get a chance.

Almost all of the more desireable knives at blade, especially anything USA made, were $400 plus.

The 50th anniversary Spyderco is $1200 if you are lucky to get the chance.

T Twindog the 0170 is outstanding. I used mine quite a bit for splitting kindling for my fireplace. The DLC held up great, and edge holding is very good as far as I coukd tell as a doofus mistreating a knife.

I am kind of stuck on a

Kershaw Leek Folding Pocket Knife with Artisan-Crafted Vein Turquoise Stone Handle, Made in USA

I want to know what you think of the actual artical as far as looks .
Please .

I know this isn't a $300 knife . . . I mean it doesn't even have their CPM 154 or D2 just the basic old 14 stuff.
I have had this knife in the back of my mind or years . I have a whole pile of other Leeks in various steels , . . . the Ti Reverse Tanto one . . . the gold plated one . . . lots of other colors and the Carbon Fiber etc . etc

Is the Turquoise Vein one really as I suspect it is and just some cast off Turquoise chips and brick red and black pebbles in epoxy from their other more solid Turquoise work ? Maybe if it were $250 . . . still . . . not as hard to make as their other more fitted Artisan Crafted stone handles .

Or am I not understanding what I am seeing and the knife is worth that many hard earned dollars ?
Only one scale to . . .
I donnoh .

Hi Wowbagger Wowbagger

If you could share a picture or two I'll bet there would be an opinion or two had here. 👍

I really like the ZT0020 design. But I don't $700 like it more than my ZT0707, which has a really similar blade shape and handle design, other than being a frame lock.
