I love seeing the high end special edition Kershaws and ZTs (and lust after them!), but, I can only afford to fish in the shallow end of the knife pool. One of the designs I don't hear much about that I've found I love and can afford are Lee Williams designs from about 5-7 years ago. His kickstop flipper is very smooth and it is my favorite of all the openers...

Sharing some Lee Williams love with the Overdrive series and the ENER-G/NRG series:

This is a picture of my first real pocket knife, a Kershaw Ener-G, and my newest pocket knife. I agree that the Lee Williams flipper is an awesomely smooth one.

Couldn't have happened to a better model than a Junk Yard Dawg - just what do you have to do to get "upgraded" to 23 "X's?" This was how I received it, I'm not sure but I don't think any of the 1725CB models every officially shipped with Gray/Green scales?

I had heard that as well. I have one of the 1725CBs with the different color scales as well, and I think it's pretty cool. Love the oddball stuff!

This is a Wild A$$ Guess, (WAG to be precise) but based on the Born on Date on the blemmed out JYD II of Oct 08, I suspect it was an early prototype/test made with existing parts that did a jail break from the factory. I have an "earlier model" 1725BLKST with the Sandvick blade and black G10 with a later Born on Date of Dec 08...

Erik, what's the blade steel on the middle one? I'm digging the OCC/CPM154 frankin blur, looks fantastic!

440A

I swapped the blades between the CF154 (middle) and the SG10 (bottom). I like the silver twill inlays on the SG10 better and obviously the CPM-154 steel is worlds better than the 440A on the black coated SG10 blade. I never carry the one in the middle because I don't like the blade. One of these days I'll get a good deal on a user blur and swap it out so I can carry that one too.

A couple more.
