ignoramus said:Came back from the BAKCA show today. First knufe show I've ever been to, very enlightening. Unfortunately, I didn't see any of the ZT knives anywhere, I guess everyone snatched them up.

Here TAD Gear table with Steve at the en of the table with ZTs:
Artfully Martial said:Am I the only one who likes the average ZT knife MORE than the "real" Strider? Oh, and can I get a pic next to a minigrip, delica, para, etc, some really common knife, to get a feel for size.
Let me quote myself:Artfully Martial said:Judging from the comparable blade lengths, can we say that the estimated blade length from TAD is wrong? I believe they're listed at 4.25 inches, but it looks shorter than that in the photos.
nozh2002 said:Just tried it on fresh Salmon - sushimi. To cut fresh salmon you need yanagiba - special salmon knife, very thin and very sharp. ZT300 has pretty delicate edge, so I like to compare it with yanagiba.
It cuts salmon very well! Only it is too short to compete with yanagiba - I had to do two-three cuts, when with yanagiba one cut is enough (it three times longer). ZT300 is actually 3 3/4" long (maximum 4" - from flipper to tip), ZT200 noticable longer.
Then I tried it on tomatos - same feeling, no differentce in terms of cutting. Only Edelveis performs slightly better but it is 2mm thin - twice thiner then ZT300.
Thanks, Vassili.
Sure, but only if it is possible to pay less. The only way you'll get one of these for less right now if to find a used one (and I bet it won't be a whole lot less than MSRP). This knife straddles the line between high end production and custom, much like CRK and regular Striders do. Folks should not mistake it for Kershaw's regular line and their regular discount pricing, besides a portion of the sales price could be considered a donation to a worthy cause, the Paralyzed Veterans of America.Billman said:I like it, but paying full retail steals a little part of my soul
Well, you have to get use to the fact that more and more Kershaw now are "common knives"... Like SpecBumps and Leeks and Cyclones. In general as I understand Kershaw outsell meny "common" brands easy.
Here it is with Military.

Sorry it is little bit out of focus, this is why I did not showed it before.
Thanks, Vassili.
What about that bolt and nut on the side of the ZT - does it hit the hand when you hold it? It looks uncomfortable.
