I hope this is the appropriate place, but I just want to put a plug in for KershawGuy. A few weeks back, I managed to break my G10 leek that has been my daily beater for 4-5 years now. Been looking for something to take its place, and really liked the Cryo I got to handle at Blade. Got a preorder in for a couple of those, but alas, they're not going to be around for at least another month or so (small one) or 4th quarter (large one).

I decided in the interim to order one of KershawGuy's Leek blems, and decided on the OD one with the black blade. I placed my order at around 12:00 my time (Eastern) on Friday, and the knife showed up today, from the opposite corner of the country. Very, very impressed with the $29 I spent on it. The "blem" consists of a tiny white dot (less than 1/16" diameter) on one side of the blade.

It amazes me that the shipping was so quick (and free) and the quality of the knife that was marked as a blemished product. I'm very pleased!

I'm very pleased with all my transactions with him also. If I need a Kershaw product, I check his website first.

How did you break your knife? Not to dig on anyone here, but for the same price, you probably could have gotten your G10 leek fixed.

I bought a Leek composite blem from him a couple weeks ago. Great knife. I couldn't really tell what was wrong with it. Either the logo on the clip was more faded than the rest or the copper composite bond on the blade wasn't perfect. Doesn't bother me at all especially because its a work knife. Same quick shipping to me too. I thanked him by email also.

Hes a great guy to deal with for sure. I have had a few pre-orders from him, albeit most I ended shuffling to my friend. But each time hes always willing to do so without any hassle. I am sure I bug the hell out of him too with my persistent questions from time to time :p

I am not sure what happened...think I just finally wore out the speedsafe spring, because it won't stay in its little hole in the blade when the knife is closed. I also broke the tip off a while back, which was totally my fault. I will probably return it to KIA with a note asking them to take a look at the spring...I am not concerned about repair of the blade, and I have nothing to lose, really other than the $4 in shipping.

Sorry about that, and thanks.

Dave (Kershawguy) is a class act in my opinion. Great prices, super fast shipping, and A-1 CS. What's not to like? :D
