Kershaws new “knives”

Next time you're in the hardware store grab the biggest nail you can find and sharpen the point on a grinder. Put some type of wrap or heat shrink tubing around it on the back end. You just made something more useful than a plastic knife. It's likely galvanized so it's protected from rust. If it does happen to rust, scrub it off with sandpaper, or better yet give your attacker tetanus for that extra +1 damage.

I'm starting to wonder if the designers carry and use knives, or just sit in front of CAD all day.

So Kershaw is making EDC picnic gear now? Is this what I’m hearing? 😂😂

So I was out of the knife game game for like 8 years. I heard mention a while back that Kershaw was no longer going to be making knives in the US which I thought really sucked. Now I see they still are however only 2 new models. So looks like most all their knives are manufactured in China now days huh? That really makes me sad. They used to make such good value knives with some pretty cool designs.

There is another thread about this. To sum things up, much of this line-up feels "behind the times". The prices are too high for the materials used (but maybe not as bad as CRKT's 2022 line-up). Some of the designs reminded at least one member of MTech. Ironically, MTech has recently taken steps to "evolve" and now offers a few CH-made knives in better materials at better prices. Kershaw's description for one of their new plastic knives is hilarious. It talks about meeting your tactical needs and being the right choice to hide in a potted plant...

I've been very let down by pretty much all of the 2022 model reveals. The most interesting knives I've seen so far actually from BM, a company I dislike and do not buy from. At least they are making new, somewhat interesting knives, though.
