the edge may also be too thin to heat treat- at least without stresses removed.

that was a pretty thick blade,, with some PBC on it I think it would have done real well , if done in an atmosphere generated oven I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem .

thinner blades hollow ground to .025 or less I think could get a little wavy other wise..
