Kevlar thread

I've seen kevlar thread offered at many outdoors places for sale, usually in the fly fishing sections for fly tying. So I bought some, as it is not terribly expensive and I thought it could come in handy in the field since it is so light and strong. Has anyone here used it for cordage or anything in a pinch? Would like to hear any experiences with it.

Never used the Kevlar thread but I do like the Spiderwire (spectra thread which is similar) fishing line and really like it. It's a bit slick so make sure your knots are good but very strong.

I bought some kevlar thread/string for my psk on the bay. Its a little bigger than thread its more like small cordage. I haven't used it yet though.
