Key Chain Flashlight

If you go real-thing Photon, get the Freedom. I did get the Ritter version because some goes back to ETS and because I've carried Photon Freedoms around my neck for years, but the standard black models now have a 2X brighter LED(Same packaging, this is the second time they've upgraded) for half the price. CFR has the lowest price, plus free shipping. As for the Proton, closest thing to perfection I've found if you want a full EDC light, but too big for keychain carry.

If you find yourself using the Freedom enough...Consider the ReX, which has an awesome charging system. I've taken batteries rolling around in people's cars and charged my light off them, cost per charge is one third of a cent with a NIMH, and a D cell will get you twenty charges for longer trips. However, get the Freedom first, you'll get hooked on the interface. I'm converted purely to lights with the Freedom interface, and use the basic on/off ones for kits and loaners.
I just ordered two Photon Freedom's from CFR Lights.
Thank You.

I received the Photon Freedom's I ordered from CFR Lights. They are all and more than what I expected in a key chain knife. The illumination is more than adequate. Thank you everyone for your recommendations - especially AlexSchira.

art: order replacement batteries for your Photons in bulk (like a sheet of 5 or 10) from ebay; they are very inexpensive there, as compared to what you would pay at some place like Walmart etc.

dealextreme has incredible deals on button cell lithiums like the Cr2016's you need. But just be sure to check the voltage before use as some will undoubtedly be duds...
