Does anyone else have or know what this program is about? I just DL'd it, and it is pretty interesting. It allows you to search for a steel by letter/number designation, properties, or chemical composition, then you can look at mechanical properties, physical properties, suppliers, chemical composition, heat treatment, general info and one of the best standard comparisons which shows you what steels are similar over the world, they're letter/number designation and what country they are from as well as the other info. I have only played with it a bit so far but it seems QUITE interesting. It looks like it contains information (some completed some uncompleted) on just about every steel ever!

Sam , even I haven't signed up for that .If I was still working as a metallurgist I might but even then it's for certain types of work. The number of different steels is huge and this program helps those who are in the international market.
BTW, often these translations on this and other lists give the equivalent steels but actually many are not equivalent but the 'closest' but closest may be significantly different !
