I just cant find something I like for a Keychain, and i've carried everything, from toollogic to spyderco and everything in between. I like very small but useful ideas, anyone have something I am missing?

I tried a normal size SAK but it's way to big. Now I use a small SAK (classic). It's small and weights 20 gram. I only use it to open a letter and things like that when I don't have a real knife handy. The thing that bothers me is that the keyring is on the side where the pivot of the blade is, so the keyring with the other keys are in the way. But for incidental use it's fine and cheap.

Victorinox Classic or similar sized SAKs
Spyderco Ladybug or Jester
Leatherman Micra, or one of the Squirt models

I have both the Ladybug and the Jester. They are great - well designed, well made, comfortable in the hand, incredibly sharp, and easy to handle. My hands are just a little too large to be able to open them easily with one hand, but as I practice that might be easier.

I'd recommend either or both of them.

Leatherman Juice with either pliers or scissors. I carry one with pliers and would'nt be without it. Carries on keychain or in a mission wallet very well.

Have you tried a 3" SAK (Executive, Ambassador) or a 3 1/4" (Waiter, Cadet)? These carry a lot smaller than the 3 1/2" models and they have a more useable length blade than the Classics.

Try the original keyring knife,(no not the SAK Classic) the Gerber LST, my wife carries a small CS Voyager.

For years now, I've been carrying a gold TiNi CrossCut carried in a custom sheath by Eric at On-Scene Tactical. It's a great pair (tool and sheath) to carry on a daily basis.

My wife has had a couple of the smallest LSTs. Blade about 2" IIRC. Very nice for the price.

I have the Vic Midnight Manager on me at least 14 hours a day. It is the same as knife almtiba pictured above. The pen and scredriver have saved the day many more times than the blade. I also have the Seberknife on my car ring. Both are for lighter duty than any size of the LST. None are reasonably opened with one hand, but I can usually manage the LST if pressed. The Seberknife is actually difficult to close without nicking myself. Of course I have one or two larger tools in my pockets because these are simply too dinky for a great many things.

i carry two keys on the ring of an Inova microlight. i like it simple. key, wallet, knife, cell phone. light yet prepared for most....

The Victorinox Classic has been my choice for as long as I can remember. It just has everything I need without being heavy or bulky.

It is......Classic ;)

David Winston makes a fixed-blade key-shaped knife out of damascus for about $50. I've got one and I carry it on a daily basis. Its sharp and makes a great knife to loan out because people think its cute instead of intimidating.

For years I've carried a sak executive, very much like the one above. Last couple of days I've been looking at the Leatherman/Squirt, anyone here had one of these?

My next keychain knife will be a blade-tech mouse II - great looking wee knife.

silly me, almtiba does not have the midnight manager there. There is no LED on that one. The VIC emblam is on the wrong spot to be the power switch. I have a hard time actually seeing much with a red light, but it is rather more than nothing. If you already have some other little illuminator, his knife is probably every bit as good as mine, and less bulky to boot. (but mine is more fun)

I am surely tempted to get one of those Winston keyknives. I even hacked out a rather poor immitation from a jig saw blade just to see how it would sort of work. I can just see myself getting the sheath snagged on something and having this razor sharp blade poking me from my keyring. Or taking off the sheath, using the blade to save the day, and then going... now where did I put...
