Keychain Knife

I've kept the Cold Steel Urban Pal and the Spyderco Ladybug 3 both on my keychain. The Urban Pal is easier to use and access because you can seperate it from your bulky keys, while the Ladybug feels like it can cut better (both of my variants were serrated). Both are excellent and each cost about $20 from dealers on-line...get both! :D

I keep a Victorinox Rambler with StayGlow (glow in the dark yellow) scales on my keychain. I have been tempted to put a Leatherman P4 on there, but that would make it to busy of a keychain. I might, might do a mod one day combining a mini-champ and a Swiss Memory but that one will be really thick.

Small fixed blades are great, but they're hardly sheeple friendly.
Sounds like you need a small multi/SAK.
LM Squirt, Micra, or the Gerber equivalents, SAK Classic, or any of the smaller models. I like my Recruit, but you don't get the sciccors.

The Cold Steel Urban Pal is on my keychain. I definitely recommend it.

I'd check local laws before carrying a push dagger.

no just need something small for opening packages, cleaning fingernails, cutting string.....small(sheeple friendly) jobs where 4in is too much

I carry a Ladybug because my work has a rule against carrying more than a 2" blade. I actually find 2" a bit too small to work with comfortably, even though I have relatively small hands. I would look for something a bit larger, say about 2 1/2". I think a Spyderco Dragonfly would be about optimal for size.

The Vic Classic on my keyring is probably my most used knife.

I'll second that!

It's surprising just what that tiny cutter will handle. Like the original poster, I use it as my general use pen knife/sissors when out in public. In truth it does 99% of what pocket knife things I have to do.

well without much convincing i went with the vic classic in ORANGE alox.....to match a future orange fenix EO1.....i've had some off brand SAKs before, but i'll see how the real one stacks up

Off brand=junk. You will be quite content with your new Vic. Enjoy! (I envy the orange alox).

haha...you don't have to tell me their junk....only good think is that they made me realize i didn't need the tweezers or toothpick as they both voluntarily "abandoned ship", and i didn't really ever use them so it took me a while to realize they where gone, so no loss:D

FWIW, here's the one I carry. A Schrade Simple Simon. Not manufactured anymore, but readily available on the 'bay for 10 - 20 bucks.

Yeah, I've never really used the T&T. The alox models are thinner, more durable and, IMO look better.
Funny, I actually don't own a Vic Classic- mine is a Wenger.
Off brand does generally equal junk. When I was about seven, I had a Sheffield Vic copy. It was decent.
That Simple Simon looks alot like the CRKT KISS.
