"Keychain Pen"

Just pop a hole in the cap of the space pen (or better yet the telescoping aluminum space pen) and put a keyring in there... when they're $15 at staples, why not?

Right now they are backordered, but I strongly feel that this pen will be worth the wait, after talking with the HMFIC for about an hour today.

The refill is a Fisher BTW.

I got a couple of minisharpies and they are good for what they are. They're only a buck. The cap has a little detachable do-hicky (technical term) that attaches to the key chain that I didn't like at first because it has popped off a couple of times in my pocket. However, now I like it because it pops off before the cap, so you don't ruin your pants. Its like a little safety release.

It writes like, well, a sharpie. Usually when I use a little keychain pen its to write down a phone number or directions on a little slip of paper so a fine point would work better, but it works good for a buck.

Anybody got the Inka pen yet? I'd like to hear how that works. Thanks.

resurrecting this old thread to see if anyone who had the "Inka" pen on order have gotten them and reviews, please.

Never did get the Inka pen, Shann, even though I wanted one. My wife just started looking at me too funny after my fourth Fisher and I decided to "preserve the peace." :)

 I hear you brother. I'm on a six month moratorium from buying knives because my wife went into the cupboard where they were all stashed :o

Totally worth it, but I will write more about it later.

My wife and I have an arrrangement. I buy Swiss Army Knives and flashlights. She buys perfume and cosmetics. She has more perfume bottles than I have SAKs, but no worries. That means I can buy more SAKs. :D

Got the Inka today. That was some quick shipping!

Gotta say, this pen is worth the $25 IMO. It is very well made of 304 SS and carbon fiber inserts. Much nicer than a Fisher space pen but slightly more complicated. I like it very much, writes great. You can use the little stubby pen part in a pinch or you can unscrew it and use it like a regular pen for more lengthy writing chores. Very nice and highly recommended.

She uses it on a lanyard around her neck along with her school ID badge.
That's what I've been doing for the last couple months. I have a ION and a Mini Sharpie on a VERY SMALL "thingy" that was made to hook keys to a belt loop. I put that on my retractable ID badge holder. This has worked out great for me. While in the office I keep it on and have a pen for making notes or whatever and I have a mini Sharpie for labeling boxes. Then if I need to leave the office, I just on unhook them, leave them on my desk, and grab my Fisher Space Pen. I have too much stuff in my pockets to dig thru everytime I need a pen.

I already lost my Mini Sharpie....looked at my keys the other day and the little cap thingie was there but no pen. I don't think me and the Sharpies are going to get along....

May I consider this an "official" Peter Atwood review (brief though it may be)?

In case you haven't guessed, your opinion matters here (to me at least).

My questions for you in this matter would be:
  1. How well does the Inka write in comparison to the Fisher Space Pen (smoothness, "blobby" ink trail, etc.),
  2. How "bulletproof" is it? Can it survive being dropped into a pocket jangling with keys, change, and other crap?

Rats...alrighty then...looks like the Mini Sharpies are out. Thanks for the post. I'll aim my spare change at an Inka instead.

I "splurged" (saying way more about my current financial status than I like...) on a mini sharpie over the weekend. Sunday it was sitting on the floor of the car where it fell when it popped off of it's little holder key-cap. Not much trust for it to hang onto keys dangling from belt area.

I have a turned wood pen on my keyring that I have had dangling from my belt for 5 years now. I think it was from the Pen Lady on the net. Smallish, would not work for everyone, still need a better quick disconnect to make it easier to use, still hate to leave home without it.
