Keys to understanding secondary market prices?

The old saying is, buy low sell high................that NEVER works for me.....because I buy something because I WANT IT far more than I consider the price.
I try to be reasonable................but that only works when I really dont like something and wouldnt get it anyway!!! Sigh!!!
 
This dealer has priced them at a point which they haven't sold in a year, and will take a profit of some form if they do sell. As they should.

But he's going to CHARGE you $200 for (4) website photos even if it hasn't sold? Overpriced hostage.

If it hasn't sold in a year, either the price is too high or the dealer has a small marketbase with low traffic.
