Keystone Blade Assoc. Show

The club asks for a $3.00 donation at the door.
Don't know if anybody will have machaxes or not capt. We currently have reservations for 52 tables and some of the vendors are new to the show, so I'm not sure what will turn up.
Look forward to meeting some fellow forumites. I'll be working the door both days .

I never knew about this till I saw it posted in a gun shop. Definitely going to try and check it out.

I apologize for asking so many questions(this will be my first knife show) but could you tell us some of the big names that will be there?

No problem Blazer, don't mind answering questions.
Some of the custom makers who have reserved tables include, Ken Steigerwalt, Larry Mensch, Ted Moore, Keith Bagley,Fred Frey ,Kirby Bletcher,Bill Ogden and John Johnson. Robert Eggerling the damascus maker also has a table.
Many of the dealers coming also stock a good selection of custom makers work.
I hope this helps a little and I look forward to talking to you.

Alrighty the big day is tomorow. For any of you veterans of the show, do you recomend going to any tables or stands to get the full experience?

Driving up from southern Jersey, down here for work and will do a drive by on my way home, maybe get to see some of you guys there, usually sit with my wife's uncle, he has a table just to the right as you go into the main room. Hope the weather cooperates!

Damn........Wish I knew about this earlier. I am only like 2 hours away........!!!

I was able to make a quick stop at the show on Sunday. I picked up a firesteel and striker from C4 Industries and a nice old red alox Elinox SAK that I was particularly happy to find.

Hi blazerman-
The firesteels were in the second room along the wall straight ahead when you walk in - The guy who had them, C4 Industries, also had a lot custom kydex.

Were there only custom knives there, or was it kind of like a gun show, only with all kinds of knives from every company....?

There was a little bit of everything there. Customs (fixed mostly, I think, with some folding), lots of traditional slipjoints, some 'tactical' fixed and folding, etc.

I enjoyed checking out a CRK Green Beret and a Pacific (I really liked the Pacific), but not able to spend the money right now.

Bummed Now.....as my wife said..." you can go if you want, you don't have to ask me ".......lol. I was thinking it was only a custom knife show. Even though I used to make custom hunting knives and appreciate their beauty and unique designs, I am more into knives like CRK, Hinderer, etc. Being a HUGE CRK fan, I am kinda bummed knowing that there may have been some there that I could have at least looked at. Oh well, hopefully I will make it there next year now that I know what its like.

Is there a list I can get on so I am notified by email....? I found out about this by accident and just stumbled upon it like a day before it was to take place.

I have both a 5.5GB and the Pacific. Still don't know which I like best. They each feel different in hand in different ways. I have the 5.5GB listed in the exchange as I think I am liking the Pacific just a bit more. I have the leather together with the 5.5GB and its a nice added touch to a great knife, though there is nothing wrong with the Spec-Ops Brand Sheath as they make amazing items.

Hi nyfemaker-
I was there later on Sunday near the end of the show, so I don't know how much I missed on Saturday, but the only CRK I saw were the large GB and Pacific. I did not see any Hinderer. I don't recall seeing CRKs in previous years either, but I could be wrong. I was not a CRK owner until last year so they were not as high on my radar in years past.

I really liked the Pacific a lot. Based on a first impression, the different slant in the guard/choil area compared to the GB makes it more comfortable to my hand.

As far as I know, there is not an email list. I just know that it is always near the end of February, and I check bladeforums for paknifeguy's announcement.

Cool, I will have to make note of that for next year. Since there seemed to be a little bit of everything there, I am sure it would have been fun. I am sure alot of forum members were there, so it would have been cool.....Hopefully I will make it next year.
