I was looking over the Hammerheadknives webpage specifically the folder section and saw the KFF.

Is the titanium version better than the standard?

Also, does anyone own the mini-KFF?

The Ti KFF I have is nearly the same in weight as the standard KFF but is nearly 1/4" thinner. It locks up great and is one of the smoothest opening knives I own. I really like it.

Hey Mr. Smokeman!

I got to handle a plethora of Pat Crawford knives at the last Chicago knife show; a veritable cornucopia of fine folders. For me personally, I fell in love with the all titanium KFF...only a couple of ounces lighter than the micarta KFF, and an 1/8 inch thinner. I love the way the titanium handles wear; 'distressed' metal at its finest! The holes in the handle also help with my grip, but don't get me wrong. The micarta KFF is a dream too. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I also handled the mini KFF, but for me, it was too small. (Hey, I've got to make up for my small penis size man!

) Doesn't mean that if I were to get one for my birthday I wouldn't keep it forever and ever and ever.

Hey, here's a thought:
Why not get both the titanium KFF and and micarta KFF??? And get a regular sized KFF AND a mini!! THEN get them in fancy models; damascus blade, impala horn handles, mastadon ivory handles, etc. And then...

send me the KFFs you get tired of, and I'll gladly take them off your hands.

Thank you, and good night.

Smoke I was in your shoes too and I chose the bolstered Micarta KFF. If you want a good deal on the titanium KFF nib then you can't go wrong with Sarge Roy in Hammerhgead.. otherwise I think you can do a search in the for sale forums.. in the past month there have been quite a few KFFs for sale.. a swedish (?) gentleman had a damascus KFF and mini KFF at UNBELIEVEABLE prices (wish I could get them but I knew i wouldn't use it) I think he decided not to sell the large KFF.. (I think it was Stab-san) there were two standard MIcarta KFFs one of which sold I think. If you look for Attila (I think) I think he has a satin ti KFF for sale. Hope this helps.

I woudl liek toi say that you can't go wrong with this knife.. it does take a lot of real estrate in your pocket but it handles like a dream

Thanks gents. I admit the hype or Axel's posts got my attention.

I'd like Sal Glesser's KFF with Spyderhole but that's just drooling.

I'm about experiencing and playing with steel now, going for effortless cutting. Heck, I'll probably try the KFF neck blade this year. I'm really tempted by the KFF trainer though.

Ah the knife bug.
