 Oh heaven's forbid. I meant his Breeden. As in Bryan Breeden's Peacemaker design.:D

Ken was kind enough to let me use it for awhile. So I though I would post some pics and let yall know how I liked it.

One of the things I like about Bryan's knives is the simplicity of them. He never tries to do too much with a knife. This Peacemaker is no exception. Its user friendle handle is comfortable and unobtrusive. The blade shape is classic and it just works. His edges have always been good, and it looks like Ken totally convexed this one. So I can't attribute that to Bryan, but the knives I have had by him always cut well.

Anyway off to the pics. This knife reminded me of a slicer so, I decided to put it to work cutting meat.

Here it is with my Fiddleback Woodsman of about equal size.

It cut through the beaf with ease at first, but slowed down towards the end. Nothing dulls a knife like meat eh!

The knife did great, no complaints.

Some stropping and it was a razor again. Then it was off to work on some wood.

In hand shot for you guys.

and we will end it with a quick fuzzy.

Although I don't have alot of pics, the knife notched well and batoned quite good. It's a solid knife that will handle anything you throw at it. Nice work Bryan Breeden:thumbup:

Thanks KGD

Shoot. I really thought this was going to be a thread raising questions about Ken's lineage. :p

That's a nice looking knife. I also appreciate the simplicity of the design - no bells and whistles, just a good-sized blade and a comfy handle.

Thanks for the review and pics!

All the best,

- Mike

And to think, I thought this was going to be a loooooong explanation on why KGD is who he is.

Great pics, I like the shape of that knife, but I've learned the hard way that my knives need a bit of a guard on them....Bryan and I have already discussed this, but I would like to have a shorter version something like that as a back-up/bushcraft type knife in my pack.

Good lord.....you have no idea how scared I was to open this thread, because of all the possible pictures I thought I could find! However, it kind of had the "car wreck curiosity" in me going. You know.....you should not be looking but you have to!

Glad there were no pictures of KGD's naked butt! :D

The peacemeaker is one cool knife. I have held a few of them.

Well, now, why would you go and post this AFTER I eat dinner? You got me hungry again. The knife looks like a definite winner!

So, is that meat something that was bred by KGD, though

Bryan's knives are excellent! My wife and I each have one and we both love them. Bryan's handles fit our hands very well, and his knive's have always come razor sharp.

OF all my knives, we find ourselves carrying and using Bryan's knives the most!

Nice post and pics!

Hi all,
Tony, thank you for the very kind words and the pics you posted of the knife I made for Ken. That was pretty cool of Ken to loan out a knife to another forum member. ken:D. Some timew when you loan out a knife or what ever you never know how it might come back or what might happen to it LOL. As the others have said seeing the food makes me hungry to LOL.

When I seen the subject i was wondering about it just like some of the others have said to LOL.

Thanks again for the kind comments from you all,

Bryan

Cutting meat does not really dull a knife quickly, Many times the sinew or whatever you call it wraps over the edge, a very light stoke on a steel will clean it off and get you cutting again. Thats the reason that all the old butchers kept a steel very close by.

I have always wanted a peacemaker. I haven't bought one yet because I have one of the designs Mistwalker created and Bryan brought to life. I have time though...hehehe

Those peacemakers are sweet ! Bryan made me a 6" blade peacemaker.

Good stuff Tony and thanks for the review. That peacemaker is pretty comfortable in the kitchen as that is where it does a lot of its duty! I'm not ashamed to say it has horsed its way around a few bones!

Good stuff....

P.S. when I'm in the mood, you'll hear me squeeling like a pig.....so when you hear that sound best to stay clear ;)
