Khukri superstitions

I'm handicapped here because what many might consider "superstitions" I consider religious considerations -- like the regular Bishwakarma Puja that's done at BirGorkha (latest round just finished last week).

That's exactly the sort of thing I'm wondering about ... what most of them would consider religious considerations and what most formites would consider superstition.

Somewhere there's a bunch of pix of Bishwakarma puja going on. This is all dead serious religious ritual to the kamis and sarkis but to the Western eye it looks more like pagan mumbo jumbo. So, exactly what is it? I respect the belief system of the kamis and sarkis and participate in the rituals myself when I'm there and try to generate an acceptable degree of mental and spiritual vibrations within myself. I do not view any of this as superstition.
