Hey I'm back. It has been awhile since I have posted. Anyway my 15" AK is doing fine. I assisted with my daughter's Girl Scout camping trip and all went well. Of course the 15"AK went along. It worked great for breaking up small peices of firewood for the campfire and was also a great conversion peice! Now if I can only make it the offial Girl Scout Knife!
My son who is 8, always makes sure when we go camping that the khukuri comes along. He says it makes him feel safe from those night monsters. It always has a place in my pack.
I found that the sheath became loose with time. I fixed this by putting a thin line of epoxy around the sheath opening. Once dry it made for a smaller opening and I got the fit I liked. So far so good.
Bill; I still want a 20" Sirupati! I will let you know when I'm ready. I like the ones with the flat buttplate.
