Hello!!
I have inherited a khukuri knive w/ both little knives and sheath from an uncle, i think he recieved it as a gift at least 70 years ago in india around ww1 or before, i also wouldnt be surprised if it was 100 years or older. It is 16 inches long w/ black bone handle and very heavy brass lions head at end of butt, the blade is a tri shadow with engraving at the arch of the spine of flowers or some fancy engraving.. though definetly not a cheap deal.. it looks like it was a very fine real Khukuri that was definetly a weapon. The sheath is wood covered w/ leather and in very good shape.. though no trace of tinder pouch just a loop for belt.I was told the lions head and the age probably mean it is the real deal from the gurkas.. i need help identifying what i have and will post a picture soon as possible anyone help me with what it might be and where i can identify???
Thanx!!!
