The weather was nice today so I got out & tried out my new Khukuri (jungle model from KH) It's a great chopper & held an edge really good
The only complaint I have is the handle is made small & I don't care much for the sheath but I'll make do for now :D

That's a good start CD. What sort of problem did you have with the sheath? It looks fairly typical. The handles on KH khuks do seem to run a little small until you get up to the bigger blades. Here's one I have that is a real beast with all the grip you'll ever need. It's called the Khasi Maara (Goat's Head), and is intended for beheading goats with a single swing.

It's got a 14" blade and is really heavy.

You might want to try a 12" blade before moving on to such a beast. I prefer the full tang (panawal) handle on KH khuks. They add strength and weight and make great heavy duty choppers. I keep one in the emergency box in my 4WD.

 Thats one big Khuk HDW ! I also like a full tang but I wasn't sure I woud like a traditional Khuk so I went for a cheaper model for my first :p
Later I'll try a full tang model ;)
