So it was September last year, and I'm talking to my in-laws about how a khukuri is really the best thing for yard work (it cuts, it chops, it digs!), and they tell me that a recently deceased uncle collected these weird knives, and do I want to take a look. Do I ever. And in exchange for some yard work, I am suddenly the new owner of 7 new khukuris.

It appears theseare from early 2000s and not especially well stored. Most were covered in a grease that was something in between ear wax and engine oil, and some had some corrosion spots. Fast forward some hours of cleaning and polishing with mineral oil, and I now find myself with too many khukuris.

Prices are net to me (I pay for shipping and Paypal fees). Paypal G&S only. If you want more than one, shipping cost goes down. I'll ship USPS priority. PM me – I will check messages once a day – and first “I'll take it” gets the deal.

I'm linking to an Imgur gallery with lots of detailed pics so you have a better idea of what you're getting. As I mentioned, these were not stored in excellent conditions, although they don't look like they're been actually used or sharpened. As such, consider the condition used.

#1 Himalayan Imports Malla Khukuri by Kumar. 18 ¼ inch, 23 oz. Nice condition, no real issues except maybe some discoloration to the polish from the weird grease it was coated in. $150

#2 Himalayan Imports BAS Khukuri by Kumar. 15 ½ inch, 22.5 oz. On both sides near the tip there was some corrosion. Gold-colored inlay. $125

#3 SOLD Himalayan Imports BAS khukuri by Raju. 15 ½ inch, 20.5 oz. Blade is blued (unevenly) with some staining. SOLD

#4 SOLD Himalayan Imports Ang Khola by Sher. 15 inch, 22.5 oz. Blade in great condition but there's some damage to the horn handle. SOLD

#5 Royal Khotimora khukuri. I don't know the company or the maker. There is no Kami mark, but there is a six-pointed star near the crook of the blade. I believe Nepali Khukuri House may have done that, but I'm not sure. The fact that it was labeled Royal Khotimora suggests it might have had a silver sheath – but that may have been pawned off at some point. It comes with a terrible nylon sheath. The blade itself is nice – decently blued, with some gold-colored filigree filling and white metal bands in the handle. Three fullers make it light for its length. The buttcap is every so slightly loose, so I'd say fit and finish is not quite up to HI standards. 20 inch, 29 oz, I don't see wear or corrosion anywhere. A beast of a blade. $250

#6 Himalayan Imports? Sirupati khukuri. What looks like the HI logo in Nepalese is at the bend of the blade, but the base of the blade just says Y.I.B. I don't know which Kami that is. Gold-colored inlay. The quality looks consistent with HI. 15 inch 17 oz. Some small corrosion marks. $140

#7 NKH khukuri. This one I bought myself and it's been camping two or three times. A nice khukuri, but the handle is not as well finished as HI normally does them. 16 inch, 22.5 oz. Very minor wear. $80

#8 Himalayan Imports Wharncliffe knife, I think by Lachhu. This one I bought directly from HI on the forums here. I love the shape, but the blade stock is too thick for my taste. Only cut paper. ¼ inch spine, 9 ¼ long, 7 ½ oz. $60

#9 Tapio Wirkkala Hackman Finnish Puukko. My favorite knife of all time (which is why I have six of them). These were cheap and common in the 70s but now they're collectible. This one is in decent shape: the sheath is missing its belt strap, and the blade has minor signs of sharpening. $225
