Khul old Moro Barong

What's happening with the pizza cutter in the picture, butt end of handle covered in blue tape?
Oh ...Last night we had pizza and my wife didnt want to have to put it away in the drawer. She wanted to hang it and show it off so taking that as sincere flattery I told her id put a lanyard hole in it and she could hang it by a leather thong. If she likes it told her I'd make another for....ah nevermind that. Anywayz im waiting for the epoxy to dry. Hey that acid bath worked great! I forgot to take a pic...;bad dog!!! anyway i might have over etched it so I started over and its in the acid now. My hose on my sandblaster cab blew out in the night and compressor ran all dang night and of course the excess water just turned it into a mudblaster. Ill get some pics up soon! Ill go check it right now! Later!

Yeah I've only seen blue, not to be confused with BlueLander or Pabst Blue Ribbon.

But on a serious note, oh, that was the serious note.

DOOOON'T SANDBLAST THE BARONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scotchbrite should be fine, once you get the active rust off. And get some Ferric Chloride...it's worth having around. Sulfuric will maul it. The boiled/boiling vinegar deal also works nicely.
I've found that once you start getting too fine a finish on pattern welded steel, it doesn't etch right, and the pattern is harder to see.

Thank you sir! You sound convincing..;) Sulfuric is pretty dang harsh i noticed. Ill get some ferric chloride. Ill try the heated apple cider first. I havent done anything with the Barong yet. Just playing around with scraps and what I had laying around.
