Tora Kogatana

T ora (Tigar) Kogatana (small Katana ) is made from maple wood and ivory guard. BG-42 & Damascus laminated. Hand forged steel by Kiku.

Kiku says, in this knife he is trying to present the tip of a samurai sword. Also he likes the wood pattern. He included the handmade silk presentation cover (a common way of presenting swords to Shoguns).

This knife measures 6.5" in length with a 3.65" blade. Weight is comfortable 2.0oz. The use of sandwich-constructed steel allows for a hard steel center for excellent edge holding qualities with the softer outer steel to give the knife better flexing ability during hard use.

This is rare wood pattern, only four of these were made, notice the ivory guard and details on the blade.

The size and shape of this knife makes it very versatile, small enough to conceal, big enough for everyday use. This knife would be ideal as a general utility knife, and camp knife, or as hide out for self-defense
