I asked Jemmy at Kiku knives how many Gen1 Subaru’s were made, this was his answer: -
“ Congratulations on getting one of the original SUBARU folder. Six years ago, Kiku had to discontinue the production, leaving many components, so we don't know exact quantities he produced and sold.”
This one was from his personal collection.
The Gen2 was supposed to have a run of two hundred in tranches of ten.
This Gen2 was from the first ten, as far as I know he didn’t make any more.
The pair are listed at AUD5,700 (USD3,500).
