These three stickies show up everytime everyone opens this page.
In my case it takes up 1/4 of my visible page.
I find them rather repetative.
Since the crisis they refer to is over, is it possible to unstick them and free up the page again?

That is a good idea as I'm on here a lot using my phone and the sticky list is kinda long.

In W&SS, Esav made a Sticky to link all previously stuck Stickies..... lol

He unstuck the topics and made a list of links to each, all in one new stickied thread. It really cleaned up the place.... check it out..

I think that this is the best way to go.

...and while we are on the topic

Sticky: Review - knife makers list -just click and look/ site

This could be renamed to "Knifemaking Suppliers List"
or something more obvious...many newbies have missed it because it's just not obvious enough.

It would be nice if the announcements could be collapsed or something...they take up alot of space and don't really change that much...so I just skip over them anyway. Maybe give us a notification when there is a new one or something...

The knife makers suppliers list should be a link under the newbies sticky.

All the steel processing stickies: steel types, quenching and salt baths stickies could be put under one sticky.

The Individual Knife Maker Forums sticky and the New Moderator sticky could be unstuck.

That would reduce 6 stickies down to one. (Sparks admin stickies are another story.)

Speaking of the newb thread, the following links need an update or removal:
