Just saw Kill Bill. If you are a knife/sword nut, you must go see this movie. Lots of knife/sword fights.
Knives that were used:
-Lots of Japanese style swords: Katanas, Tantos
(The swords looked real with temper lines.)
-Buck 110 folder
(Used by Uma to cut the nurse's foot)
-Some double-edged knife I can't identify
(Uma uses this knife to kill Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox))
-A steel ball with a metal chain attached to it.
(Used by O-Ren's bodyguard, the young Japanese chic)

If I've missed something, let me know.

In truth he didn't give away any thing but cutting the nurse's foot that you couldn't gather and/or see from the trailer. Unless of course you thought that Uma would get killed by Vivica A. Fox, but perhaps I am just a "dik" also. I think that the double edge knife may have been a Cold Steel but I am not sure.

By the way, what is a dik? Is that like a woman that likes other women? A male body part? A derogatory term for asians? For all I know, "dik" may be a compliment. I should be flattered. Thank you.

Why be a smartass. You have 31 posts and you come in and give away an important part of a movie that most of us haven't seen. I agree that calling fellow forum members names is out of line, but why not just admit you made a faux pas, apologize and use your head from now on. Get yourself back on the right foot, unless you just don't give a rip. This is supposed to be fun, not tedious.

i've read some of TKD's other posts in addition to this one, and he/she has been very sharp-tongued when it comes to just about anything. i find this frustrating. i'm not a long-standing member of this forum, but i always try to comport myself in a courteous and friendly manner. it's sad this isn't a common trait anymore.

TKD, while Trent was a little quick to name-call, you did spill the beans on some parts of the movie. perhaps you should have stated some sort of "spoiler alert" in the subject line of your post. mellow out or i suspect you'll find yourself on a good majority of folks' ignore lists. then you'll get even less of the answers you require.

abe m.

I think you need to see the movie before jumping to conclusions. He didn't give away anything important to the plot, he only told of something that happens in the first ten minutes of a two hour movie. NOTHING WAS GIVEN AWAY.

Beside the point. We don't know that!!! Others disagree. How 'bout not telling us ANYTHING that affects the plot later, whether it happens in the first few minutes or not. All you have to do is button your lip about the movie and talk about knives. Right??!!

Gezuz Cris, I guess some people have thicker skin than others. I apologize for "giving away" the entire movie. I will now cut off one of my fingers as punishment. I will watch more of Oprah to work on my feminine side. How can we get along with other nations when we can barely get along with each other?

MdBlades, do you think that throw was realistic? I mean the entire length of the blade went into her/his "body part" (don't wanna spoil the movie for ye folks). From now on I'll be as vague as possible so that I don't offend anybody or anything and you folks won't know what the hell I'm talking about. I mean, using this type of font may offend some one, you never know. This is why I hate dealing with the public. Can't please everyone, and when you try, you piss off everyone.

Wow, I think you all need to chill.

Haven't seen the movie yet but my freinds all say it was awesome and they all said I would enjoy the "knife stuff" in it. Guess I can't say anymore or someone will freak out and call it a spoiler.

"dik" is one half of "dik dik." Apparently the penalty for discussing knives used in a movie, which is widely advertised and shows in its commercials the use of all but one of the weapons mentioned, on a forum dedicated to knife discussion, converts you into a demi-portion of a small antelope.

("Unless of course you thought that Uma would get killed by Vivica A. Fox," - which would be somewhat of a surprise since this is the first part of a two-part movie, AND since someone else already posted on this forum that they were disappointed that Fox died so early in the movie).

Important? Come on, next time you tell us you were really surprised the Titanic sank...

The Titanic sank in Kill Bill? You bastards! I've not seen the movie yet either!

QUIT GIVING PARTS OF THE MOVIE AWAY!

Actually, I saw the previews to Kill Bill and I didn't think it looked like a movie worth seeing. For that matter, I've still not seen Titanic either.
