Killa Zilla, it's just smart! (video added)

Thanks man, I thought about taking out the sound, but then the gratifying whack of the zilla hitting wood would be gone too. Good with the bad I guess, I didn't even notice the bird while I was chopping

Update, the more I use her, the more I love her! The weight doesn't even bother me anymore, just cleared about 100 ft of overgrown brush from the road, just a beast! This may be the first blade I give a nickname to.

add another to my wish i could afford but cannot because of my college loans :( college loans do not understand knife addictions.

Holy crap!! That zilla is nooo joke!! Now i gotta get me one! Was looking for an all around chopper/ survival knife now i need to look no further! How much should i expect to spend on one??? Im new to busse and dont want to get crazy now...

Great work J  I have long been a fan of smooth comfortable grips for extended use and the grips on the TTKZ are perfect for this once smoothed out ... and you have done an excellent job there on yours ...

Hours of "hard use" can be had out of a TTZilla without discomfort ...

Love this post. It makes me remember why the TTKZ was my grail until I got one (Now I've moved on to the BWM LE). The TTKZ has cleans lines, great ergonomics, and is the best chopping knife I've ever had the pleasure to own and use.

I'm glad to see that there are so many TTKZ fans, but with mine at number 861 I guess I knew there were at least 860 other fans.

Great knife, great post, and it is good to see the TTKZ put to work.

Tony

That's a bad Dude! I would love to have one however, it's out of my price range. Hoping the Swamp will come out with a more affordable version, as I really need one for brush clearing.

As I understood it, the numbers on the TTKZ don't actually refer to the number of knives made as they do in the LE versions. Instead they refer to the type of blade, so when the testers told Busse what they liked/did not like about the knife Busse could track it. I think mine was a 861 as well (it's in the States, can't check to be sure). So we both have the same handle, same blade shape, same grind, whatever. If both of us told Busse during testing that the handle rubbed funny, but those with an 860 number said the handle felt great, they knew which handle to use.
I'm not sure what exactly the specific differences were, all the pics I've seen look reasonably similar. Anybody have several with different numbers that they can compare? Obviously there were a lot of changes between the TTKZ and the KZ2 (the handle being a big one, maybe no one liked it), so they got a lot of input from someone.

edit: Been looking through the 'for sale' section, there are a few TTKZs up there. Unfortunately I can't really spot any difference from the pics. How the handle is shaped/contoured? Different grind?
