I have some REALLY premium buckeye burl blocks here. These are BIG full sized THICK blocks. Professionally stabilized by K&G.

Beautiful BOLD colors and figure. Eyes, burl, curl, feather figure and swirl, two tone, three tone......this stuff has all of it. These are really something to see up close in person.

Don't think these are second rate blocks because of the price. I think these are outstanding blocks. I got a good buy on these and can pass them along at nice prices.

These are nice and solid, some of the most solid buckeye blocks I've seen in an while. A few have some very small, shallow surface checks (pretty much the norm and a given with buckeye burl) but these blocks are thick enough to get rid of them easily. Or they will fill nicely.

***These ARE stabilized but are NOT dyed. This is all natural color in these***

Prices include shipping to the US. paypal preferred. US sales only ***UNLESS*** you want to buy 2 or more and are willing to pay $30 extra to cover the extra shipping and extra hassle.

Hey guys. I did want to mention this....I usually forget to put it in my post but I will cut these blocks into scales if you want them that way.

I thought that I would take a block from this group and show a few pics of the finishing process so you can see what a finished piece looks like.

I selected block #13 from the pictures above. I cut a scale off it for this demo.

Here's the scale cut and shaped and still flat:

Next the scale is contoured with a 60 grit belt:

Then I sand the scale by hand with 220 grit. You can see in the circled areas in white pencil we have a few small hairline surface checks (very common for most burls):

At 400 grit, I fill the small cracks with a bit of superglue:

Sand the scale with 600 grit to remove the excess superglue and create some dust to mix with the still wet glue in the cracks:

You may have to repeat the 'fill and sand' step a couple times, it literally only takes a minute or two at most, but you can see the cracks are almost invisible now:

Here's a shot of the finished scale, sanded to 1500 grit and finished with a couple quick coats of teak oil and waxed. This was a quick 10 minute job, with my usual two day process the scales look even better:
