Killer eBay Deal on a Caly3!

I just got a Caly3 off of eBay for $80 ($75 + $5 S&H)!

I was skeptical of the add because there were no pictures of the knife.

After I inquired, the seller conceded that the knife was not new and that he'd carried it for a while and sent it off to Spyderco to be resharpened. He did have the box for it, though.

I don't know why, but I went ahead and bought it.

Almost a week went by without a word from him. I emailed him - no response. He had not left me feedback. I was sure that I was going to end up duking this one out via PayPal, but then...

The knife came today!

The knife shows very few signs of carry. The only signs of wear that I can see are G-10 polishing where the clip had been mounted (I switched sides), a very slight lightening of the heat treat coloring on the clip, and, of course, the edge has been resharpened by the factory - and very well, I might add.

I wouldn't necessarily buy again under those circumstances, but the story has a happy ending this time.

For now, the Caly3 has displaced both my UKPK and my Manix 83 as my favorite EDC knife!

Nice deal.

I was thinking about getting a Caly 3 last month, but I opted for the Mini-Manix instead. Got a good deal on it through Ebay too.

That place is a blessing and a curse, I can't stop looking for good knife deals there.

Congratulations on Caly3. It is a great knife. I carry it every day for about 10 months and I love it.

The Caly 3 is a great knife. I know I love mine.

ebay can be a little dicey, but sometimes it pays off!

You bought my knife :) I didn't respond because I was out of town, but I did have a friend of mine mail out the knife.

Glad your enjoying it. I'll leave feed back soon.

I must be looking at a different E-bay because I never see good deals there. I have been much better off in the classifieds on this forum finding deals.

You're right. I've observed that a lot of times you can buy the knife brand new from a known dealer cheaper than you can get it on eBay. This was just a good find.
