Kiln as a HT oven

Hello all
I am a complete newb to the art of knife making and have ground a couple of blades and now have to HT them. I was thinking of getting a electric potters kiln since it gets me off the ground at a pretty reasonable price point.

Am I making a mistake?

And here are the first two in question. One is a forged blade and the other a stock ground blade.
