So, I just got a saber-grind Becker Necker. I'm assuming it's a Camillus.

It came with a sheath that I don't recognize though.

Is this the factory sheath or is it some one off piece? Either way, I really like it.

Oh and I *THINK* it was Worldwood who had the idea of running the knot through the hole on the knife as a secondary retention, I really like it. Thanks for the idea man.

Camillus sheath. I have one just like it.

On the 11, I use Tackle$%# Forge shock cord for retention, but the knot is a cool idea.

Awesome man im glad it could help someone else out. Where did you get the 11? does it say camillus on it?

It does NOT say Camillus on it. However I didn't think Ka-Bar ever had a saber 11 so I figured it was a Cami. Plus it had the Cami coating.

I picked it up from the exchange on another forum.

I really like this sheath. I think I like it better than the Ka-Bar sheath honestly.

I really like that blade. damn i need one of those. i like that better than the new ka-bar 11s.

Im actually using shock cord as a retention now as well. since i added snare wire to the handle the knot was in the way when i needed to use the snare wire and putting the knot in and out was undoing the snare wire wrap. but the retention/safety knot worked great or me for awhle and id still use it if it wasnt for the snare wire.

I know it says "USA". but especially with that coating it looks...well..."oriental" to me.

Wouldn't be the first oriental Becker rip off to surface.

I think I'm gonna go with the Camillus theory on this one.

I honestly don't mind the coating either. I like this coating a LOT better than the flat coating that was on the Ka-bars. This one, isn't quite AS rough as the tweener coating but it's definitely got some texture to it. I like it.

It's legit Camillus. Snapped a couple of contrast pics for you. In sheath and out. Camillus on top, Ka-Bar on bottom.

Huh. The finger guard area of the Camillus is almost identical to a -13, not an -11.

I like the sheath shape, though. I may steal that -- and very soon! :D

I rounded the finger guard area on my Ka-Bar 11.

Is dead mens dreams a place ?

And if you see one in a flea market for a reasonable price please grab it for me and ill buy it off ya.

worldwood, the best bet is that auction site and the Exchange here. Old stuff turns up in the Exchange with fair regularity.
Not that terribly long ago, I bought a Blackjack era Brute, Magnum Camp, and Campanion on the Exchange. You just never know.

I think I like the looks of the Camillus better. The saber grind and the drop point without the weird looking hump look nice.

I will definety keep my eyes open! WIll the saber grind fit the ka-bar sheath? i like it better personally.

Yes it does fit the Ka-Bar sheath. I don't know if there will be any long term "rubbing" effects on the blade, however I have my Ka-Bar sheath attached to my Esee-3 and my Eskabar sheath attached to my Esee-4 and I can swap them all out interchangeablely (Autocorrect doesn't seem to think this is a word... Course it also doesn't think Autocorrect is a word so whatever!)
