Kinda neat eco-home, cheap, in Wales.

Awesome, there is a man in Ontario I believe who built a house similar to this, I think he was the first guy to start flying with geese or something like that, very neat though.

Very cool indeed. I would love to try something like this one day. I have done some research on alternative materials (straw bail construction, for example), and the long-term savings of a sustainable dwelling definitely offset any initial costs.

Thanks for sharing this!

All the best,

I have looked into this.... You can build this where I live... but it cannot be your main residence. You cannot live in it as it doesn't follow building codes. You have to have a regular house on the property.

Sucks...... I love this kinda stuff....

so...they just took some pics of the lord of the rings set....lol looks decent though

I was kind of wondering about building codes and such. It's really pretty cool though.

That is great! I could live in something like that--never get tired of the look.

If you'll pardon the single guy perspective, if you owned a place like that anywhere near the People's Republic of Santa Monica (a mile from me) you would get so many liberal, eco women that you'd have to make up a stack of organic wood chip numbers for them to take while they waited their turn!:D

But seriously, it is a fantastic looking work of engineering/art. I'd love to try it for a week just to see if it "lives" as good as it looks.

meh looks like a over developed Kiva, but I'm all gung ho about this new eco tech
I always wanted to make a straw bale yurt house seen a lot easier

Neat to look at, but impossible to occupy in our nanny state.

Unless you pay the right officials of course.
