This knife is a terrific example of Joe's top level work, the fit, finish, materials and action on this lockback are as good as I've seen.
The knife is dead mint.
The blade is a very complex mosaic, and decent size at 2 7/8" long, the bolsters are a 5 bar composite Eggerling damascus, the pearl has tons of color, depth and radiance. The pearl and bolsters are partially fluted and the pins are all solid 18k gold and perfectly flush with the pearl. There is absolutely not a speck of shrinkage or cracking on the knife after owning it for years now, it's totally stable and literally in identical condition as to when I bought it new about 3 years ago.
The top of the blade and the backbar are masterfully rope fileworked.
The blade is perfecty centered, the lock is VERY authoratative and also perfecty executed, the blade shows no play in any direction and is absolutely spooky shartp as well.
You really couldn't ask for a better made lockback, Joe is one of the best.
Priced at $1365 including insured 2-day shipping. If I can find a Bill's case for it, I'll include it, if not, be assured, the knife will still be shipped in bulletproof packaging and will arrive in perfect, mint condition.
PayPal Ok with no fees, but, I'll only ship to an address PayPal says I can, so, if you don't have a confirmed address, I might not be able to sell you the knife, unless you want to send me postal money orders instead.
