Up for consideration is a great Kirby Lambert Hooligan.
These don't come up that much and when they do they seem to be either safe queen collector pieces or pretty basic ones. This piece strikes a great balance and is a very light user so you can buy it and carry it and use it like it is supposed to be used.
The handle is 4.5" long and is a Low Void Smooth Carbon Fiber with Silver Carbon Fiber Twill bolsters. All seams are Lambert perfection. No marks or blemishes to note.
The liners, thumbstud, clip and stand offs are titanium. The clip shows a light mark or two on it but only in the right light.
The blade is 3.5" long and is CTS XHP steel with a slight recurve, fantastic grinds and is super sharp. I have stropped it only. There are a few very light polish swirls down the length of the blade, but I could not get them to photograph and you have to have just the right light to see but want full disclosure. The blade runs on IKBS and might as well be a flipper as it fires out with a solid THWACK on lock up.
Lock up is dang near perfect with about 45-50% and the liner just at flush with the blade. Not too early, not too late, goldilocks.
Centering is basically dead on and if I had to call it I would say literally a hair favoring the presentation side.
Not much more to say about this one other than it is in very, very good condition and is just a great piece that really shows why Kirby is so well respected for fit, finish and quality.
