This little pocket knife in made from 1095 carbon steel. It was heat treated in my paragon oven. The grind is right side hollow with a large secondary bevel. The whole blade is hand finished. It comes with a very nice leather pocket sheath and paracord lanyard with a wood bead.

This kiridashi is made from D2 tool steel. Its ground with a right side hollow chisel grind. The flats where left with forge scale on them. The handle is wrapped with black paracord that was soaked in wood hardener. It comes with a very nice leather pocket sheath.

This kiridashi is made from AEB-L stainless steel. Its ground with a right side convex chisel grind. The handle has a under wrap of OD green paracord and an over wrap of black leather that was soaked in wood hardener. It comes with a very nice leather belt sheath. The bevel is belt finished and the flats hand finished. It was heat treated in my Paragon oven.

A welt would be a piece of leather, or other material, that is placed between the front and back pieces of the leather. The stitching goes though it and it's there give some space for the blade and to protect the sewing medium from being cut by the blade as it stored/removed/replaced in the sheath. Just asking because I'm looking for a back pocket knife that'll sit rather flat.

I understand what you are talking about now. No, the first pocket knife listed does not have a welt.
