If you have never tried one of these you would be amazed at how they cut; I sure was. The chisel grind with no secondary edge is amazing, albeit tricky to sharpen, and slices through things like I never would have believed.

Forged from 3/16 52100
Heat treated in my Paragon furnace with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to Rc 59
Chisel grind
Distal tapered tang
Dyed and stabilized spalted maple handle with black spacers
Overall length: 6 inches
Cutting edge: 1 3/4 inches
I will make a leather scabbard as requested with a belt loop or for a back pocket carry.

$125 delivered to the US or Canada (US funds please) My PayPal account is gldrewknives@gmail.com Please contact me for other payment methods or overseas shipping costs.

Kirdashis are comfortable, handy little knives. I really like the handle and shape on this one. Well done!

First thing you know you will have a whole new line using up scrap!:D

It isn't about scrap, Dr. D. It's about being frugal (cheap?) :) And, I want you to know that this made me laugh out loud.

Cheap, frugal or inventive; it maximizes resources and pocket change as well as making a nice product.
BTW Your sheath work on that kiridashi was great.
