I was looking at the new Case Tribal Lock in the patriotic Kirinite. How durable, scratch resistant is this Kirinite handle material? I would have the knife loose in my pocket, not in a sheath.
I've used Kirinite on a few knives and like working with it, it shapes well and polishes beautifully. I also have a couple of Case Tiny Toothpicks with Kirinite scales. I'd say it will scratch similarly to the way nickel bolsters will scratch or be scuffed if carried with loose change in your pocket. It could be gouged/scratched if you are doing something you shouldn't do with it.
