I'm looking at the Compact Diamond Shaped Mosaic Mother of Pearl Kirpans

Has anyone purchased one of these? What kind of steel is used? Real Mother of Pearl? They are pricey but look fantastic.

I have read the site and am aware he partnered with spyderco at one time, but want some customers opinions.

Thanks

I guess those are Mr. Khalsa's "mid tech" line with the laser engraving instead of hand cut. $375 is NOT pricey for his work of that type. If you look at those knives, the new low-priced sword line and his list of purveyors, it kind of sounds like he is looking to provide nice traditional blades to fellow Sikhs who may not be well heeled enough to afford one of his full blown custom blades.

I meant pricey in comparison to regular knives, the compact version is 295 USD. I am not a Sikh but appreciate his work and before I purchase a blade from a source I never have before, I was hoping to get a few of my questions answered beforehand ( posted up above such as steel used, previous customer experiences, mother of pearl etc. ) Thanks

Upon more research I've found the listed steel as 8CR13MOV a Chinese " budget " steel.
