You've sure come a long way from grinding old files into knives Andy, couldn't be more proud of you hoss.
Sarge
I've missed all you knuckleheads, sorry I've been "away" so long. After stumbling around a bit getting used to being a civilian, I wound up down in Saint Augustine, Florida, working for a living history museum as a blacksmith. Do I still find time to make a knife now and then? You bet, but nothing near as nice as what Andy's doing these days, heck I might just have to place me an order for a genuine "Fiddleback". Kis, you old deer stalker, I don't need a bunch of chicks in bikinis hanging around here, that Irish girl I'm in love with would whittle on me with one of the knives I made her.

I was honored, and thrilled recently, when Kismet sent me the original Sarge knife (originally named Kismet's Practical Hunter) to copy and add to my line.
The knife didn't disappoint. Its fantastic. I love Greg's work. Its really got a lot of spirit this design.
And she is done today my friends:

When I make the permanent pattern for this knife I plan to add an inch to the handle, and make the butt of it a bit wider, like the antler. I think this handle fits my hand well, but I'd still bet a longer would suit more folks.
What do you guys think??? Y'all think Sarge would think I did OK?
Howdy Yvsa! 'Bout that Irish girl, her name is Reenie (short for Maureen) and she is the love of my life. Met her down here in Saint Augustine, and we've been together a year now. Took her to the Alafia River Rendezvous back in January and she never once complained about having to be dressed in "funny" clothes, or any of the joys of "primitive" camping. Got so cold one night that the frost looked like a blanket of snow next morning. Needless to say we slept in that day.Yup, she's a keeper all right, sweet girl, great cook, and not hard at all to look at. She claims she got the better of the bargain with me, but I know I'm the one that's been truly blessed.
