Kit Carson Talonite Model 4

I got to play with that knife also, and it IS what a liner lock should be! Craftmanship is as good as it gets. There are really very few makers that do a liner lock right, and Kit is in that very few. (I am not!) That is certainly a blade to be proud of!

Thanks guys. The knife is still simply awesome. I rarely need a knife for more than opening mail and the occasional box, so I may never need to sharpen it. I'm still as pleased with it as I was when I first got it.

Hi Senator.....

Great looking knife. I hope you don't mind me posting a pic of my Model 4 that I got last month. It's a grooved Ti handle model that Kit doesn't do any longer (His son did the handle grooving and when he got his job at Remington this model stopped).

It's a gorgeous knife, ATS34 blade, smooth action, great lock up and before anyone ask; Yes this is a carry knife! I already got the first scratches on the handle and I love it!

Thanks for letting me show my pride and joy. Kit's work is just super. Using one of the CRKT M16 models got me interested in his knives. The handle on the new Outdoor Edge Magna looks to be taken from this Model 4.

Greg - that's a great looking knife. I've yet to see a Carson that I don't like. I can't wait for the Outdoor Edge Magnas to arrive.

To Kodiak and Senetor:

They're here. We've been hard at work QC'ing and packaging the Aluminum Magna and black Impulse knives which arrived on Tuesday. They both came out beautiful. Shipments started going out to dealers today. I'd post up a picture of my Carson too but I better get back to work filling Magna orders.

Also Kit, I appreciate the opportunity to work with you in reproducing your classic Model 4 design. I trust the production model will meet and hopefully exceed your expectations. When you are the best at what you do this makes for a tough act to follow. I believe we followed your lead well. Take care and wishing the best.
