I've made a couple of them, they are pretty easy to make. I used some maple to make them.

Medic, I been going through the same thing you are since early spring this year. My girls Shyann and Sierra, are 10 and 7, and both love the woods, guns and knives. The best and most used item we have found, is the small Nagene bottle full of goldfish crackers. .

Maybe add a 9mm? I was thinking .22lr at first but I am concerned about stopping power... If you are in bear country you may need to step up to .44mag... Oh, a Jungless wouldn't hurt either...

.44 mag? You have to be joking! Please......because she's younger, Em EDCs a .480 Alaskan or a .454 Casull. Gracie packs a .500 S&W.

I might, might get small 22 revolver to play with, but I already have a Ruger 22/45 that they like shooting. Don't you worry, a Henry lever action 22 is in each of their futures!
