why do you need deodorant in a survival kit? It's not like you're dating natalie portman when you're out in the woods... I don't even bring it on river trips when I bring girls along... BO is a natural bug repellant, not to mention dry pits + pack = chafed pits...

Yorkshire Boy was making a joke based on a recent thread (a guy over at another forum IIRC was saying that deodorant was important) and I went along with pine needle tea, since it seems to be cited at least once in every thread around here .
