Forged from 3/26 inch 52100 high carbon steel.
A flat grind to the spine for a gradual taper to a fine edge. There is no secondary edge in these photos, this will be added before shipment.

Rounded spine because most cooks like to choke up on the blade.
The handle is slightly raised to keep knuckles off the cutting board.
Stabilized figured maple handle
Overall length: 14 inches
Blade 9 1/4 inches

that's a gorgeous profile but imo way too thick at the spine for kitchen use. looks like it would be super lively in the hand though
 
I agree, I like a thin blade myself and tend to make most kitchen knives that way but some like the wedge shape for chopping , as long as the taper to the edge and edge profile are correct.

i can see that. i haven't had to break down a lot of squash or anything like that, i might feel differently. either way it looks like you've come pretty close to perfect with this design. i might have to shoot you an email in the not too distant future!
