• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

kitchen knife for survival?

I carry a giant cleaver in my camping dry bin. Its fun to play around with and if it was the only knife I had I would be in good shape. Its a briddel (sp) cleaver made in between the 30's and the 50's.

This is to good a topic to disappear down the page.

That case chef's knife is fantastic. I also like the cleaver set ,that one is fantastic.

I would be happy with any good German chef's knife.

I'd be happy with an old hickory bucther in 8 or 9" or a Forschner butcher in same length, only problem with the forschner is it's stainless soyou couldn't make sparks with flint, and the spine is rounded so you'd have to mod it to get it spark a firesteel

I haven't had a chance to use this one much but it feels better in my hand than most of my knives and shaving sharp. I do want to shorten it a bit one of these days.
