I dont make many kitchen knives, but I made one like this for my mother for mother's day ( or maybe it was her birthday, I cant remember) and it is the only knife she uses anymore.
This one is pretty close in design.
The blade is 1095 that has been clay coated for a hamon. It is 3/32nds thick so it is quite a slicer. The spine is fileworked for an added touch.
The handle is a laminate of ironwood and canary wood. I really like how they look together. The handle is held on with two normal and one mosaic pin.
There is no sheath with this one. I can make a drawer sheath for it for a little extra if it is desired.
Dimensions
Blade - 7" tip to handle
OAL - 11 1/2"
Price - $165 shipped to CONUS. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.
The first "I'll take it" gets it.
