kitchen knife injury

Heat up a frying pan and when it gets nice and hot stick your nubby finger on it for a second or 2. Cauterize that sheot

Edit: Lol just saw the video above on why you shouldn't cauterize....

I'd go to the ER, I was getting stitches 6 times in my life, had 7 ER visits total. I'm European BTW, so it's free here.

My main concern was the blood kept streaming out even 15 hours later, despite keeping arm raised and applying pressure numerous times, since all medical guides I consulted on the web said clot should form and bleeding stop within 10-15 mins.

If this is actually true, are you sure you’re not a hemophiliac?

I coincidentally sliced my thumb pretty good while cooking yesterday.
Just stemmed the bleeding with a paper towel, put on some triple antibiotic and used an adhesive bandage. So far it's doing fine.

Just leave it alone for a couple days would be my advice.

For the next time it happens, go to any China store or Vietnam Nam store in your area. Get a bottle of this to use. A little dab is all you need, then wrap it up. Warning: DO NOT eat or swallow the yellow pill inside unless you have profuse bleeding that is life threatening and death would be imminent, it’s an emergency pill for gunshot wounds.

Only costs a couple of dollars at most.

Yunnan Baiyao is the name, you can google it and read all about its use.
