Kitchen Knives For 100.00....

My wife uses the CS chef's knife. Pretty good knife for the money! She really likes the Kraton.

If you're going to compare it to a lousy never-needs-sharpening set from Walmort, it'll shine.
If you're going to compare it to the PRICEY sets like the damascus ones from Al Mar, you'll be disappointed.

I give 'em a thumbs up for good value and more-than-adequate performance. :thumbup:
 
I don't own the CS set, however I'll add my opinion :)

I don't see a point in buying whole set. IMHO 2 (one smaller, say about 5"-6" and one bigger 8"-9") knives are enough, 3 if you want to include filleting knife.

Given that, Spyderco KX06 knives (VG-10) or may be worth considering. Tojiro knives are also consdired very good. If you want go cheaper check Kershaws.
