I have decided to build some kitchen knives as my first knives and I believe I want to use ats-34 and micarta. Any yeas or neas would be most appreciated.
ats-34,154cm, even 440-c are all good for kitchen use. keep them thin as they will slice better. Use 1/8" or under stock. micarta is a good handle choice, use some type of bolt
instead of pins because the harsh conditions in kithen use will cause the epoxy to break down and with bolts the handle won't come off.
