Kitchen peppers - wip

With BLO (in my experience, I'm not expert) the finish depends on the wood and how you finished the wood. A harder wood (like ironwood or something) that has been higly polished, will be highly polished after the BLO. Something like curly maple, that isn't hard enough to really get buffed to high shine, will have the same look as before (Maybe slightly glossyer depending on how you do it).

This is all my experience of course, I could easily be wrong.

Thanks! I've got some Eucalyptus Burl that I am planning on using and wondered if BLO would work. Sounds like it might. I'll give it a try.

Those turned out awesome.

I'm almost done, just gotta get some finished pictures and we're finito!

I got them all sharpened up two days ago, they're now sharp enough to shave the hair off a babys chin. And to cut see through slices of potato. I gave them all a test run, with potatoes, onions, and garlic. They slice and dice well.

Then I took them out to the shop and cleaned them up, some scratches on the front of the bolster (from sharpening I believe) touch up on the bevels, etc..

All done!

And some pretty pictures of the other two.

Then the accessories to be included with the knives when they're sold. A display block and a magnetic wall hanging block. Both made from curly maple to match the knives.
