I see a few more on the photo thread, I added them. If you don't see your name on the list, and you are in, please contact me.

I am going to email the rest of those who originally said they were in, to check on the status. I have discovered that there is a problem with emails and PM's going through the forum not getting there.

If you are sending me an email , send it directly to sapelt@cox.net . You can call me at 757-237-2552.

SERIOUSLY ,FOLKS, IF YOUR ARE IN ON THIS, AND YOUR NAME ISN'T ON THE LIST, CONTACT ME TODAY !!!!!

I am going to have one of the gals at work draw the labels tomorrow, so if you are in and something is awry with the communications, call me or use an email that works.
Also, when you shipp your knife, an email that says "I shipped my knife to (name of recipient) " would allow me to keep track of the knives. I suggest shipping with tracking and delivery verification ( less than $1 extra).

LAST NOTICE

This has been fun, and of the original group that contacted me, all but 16 have completed their knives, or notified me that they would not be finishing in time ( There was no requirement to do any more than post "I'm Ready"). I had to chase one or two down at the last minute, but overall the communications and effort by the members was superb. I think that 43 fine knives will be hitting the mail in a week. There should be some smiling faces soon. I will put up a thread to post that it arrived, and photos or comments about your knife after you get it. An email to me that you have received the knife would also be appreciated.
Thanks to all who participated. This sort of spirit is what a KITH is all about.

Yes, I finally got one of yours through the PM, and one through the regular email.. There is a problem. I think Spark is on it.
Stacy

I still haven't recieved an address to send my knife to.
Did something go wrong or did nobody recieve it yet?

I have siting before me a stack of letters that have the names and addresses sealed inside.

The letters are being mailed tomorow AM to all the participants ...except Bart and Emre.
I am opening their letters in a few minutes and emailing the info to them to avoid a long wait for their shipping info.

For the rest of you, your letters should start arriving in a couple days.
After I have mailed the letters, I will get a master list from the gal who did the drawing of the names and stuffed the envelopes.

Here is a copy of the info sheet in each letter:

This is your KITH recipient.

1) Mail the box to the address enclosed. If there are any mailing instructions, be sure to follow them, or the box might not get there.

2) Insure your box, and get a tracking number. That way if there is a problem, there is much more chance it can be found quickly. Check the tracking after about four days to see where the package is.

3) When you get this letter, email me at sapelt@cox.net . That way I know you have your recipient’s name.

4) Mail the box as soon as possible. When it is mailed, send me another email saying it is mailed.

5) When you get your box from the person who drew your name, send me an email saying you got your knife.

6) All this will assure a smooth KITH, and allow monitoring of stray or delayed knives.

7) I will put up a thread for posting of, “I got my knife ……thanks, etc,” comments.

Thank you for participating in the 2009 KITH. It has been my pleasure to facilitate this.

I want to personally wish you and you’rs a happy holiday, and a prosperous new year.

Stacy Elliott Apelt, FSA,Scot

All I can say, Stacy, is thank you so very much for organizing the KITH this year. This has been very smooth and I think every maker has had more confidence this year knowing that all the details have been taken care of, and that everyone will receive a blade in a timely manner.

On behalf of everyone, thank you!

Bruce, I was wondering the same thing :D.

Stacy, thank you very much for your hard work in organizing this and spurring us along to get it done. I'm looking forward to this very much. I got the sheath for the bowie sewn up tonight. Going to dye tomorrow.

I emailed the two Canadians, and the two Europeans. The rest of you will have to wait a couple days.

Bruce - Open it when it gets there if you want, or set it under the tree....your choice.

Justin, You are quite welcome. I enjoyed this.

Stacy

I think I will leave it under the tree for about.................10 minutes!! I love getting presents.:D

I'm jealous of you guys! It's been really cool to see the pictures and pride put into the knives and I think I speak for everybody when I say that I want to see pics of you and your gifts! Maybe I'll feel confident enough to participate next year!

I've just send my package 10 min. ago....
And I won't say to whom it is on its way ;) but I hope you'll like it.... :D

(and Stacy, thank you for everything)

Sent the knife to its new owner 4 hours ago. Also there is some Turkish coffee in the box :)

My hand finish and the sheath is not so good, at least I was not so happy with them, but the knife turned out quite good and ergonomics is not so bad either. I hope he will use it and appreciate it...

Thanks a lot.
Emre...
